TENTH ANNUAL PORT ORANGE SOUTH DAYTONA GOLF TOURNAMENT
AND SECOND ANNUAL IT’S FIVE O’CLOCK SOMEWHERE GALA!
October 9 and 10, 2009
The Port Orange South Daytona Chamber of Commerce invites you to participate as a sponsor for one of our largest annual fundraisers. Back by popular request, the annual Chamber Golf Tournament has been expanded to include a Friday night gala, It’s Five O’Clock Somewhere.
EVOLUTION OF A GOLF TOURNAMENT
This will be the Tenth Annual Chamber Golf Tournament. Over the years this tournament has become one of the most popular in the area, and has been sold out many months in advance in past years. The Golf Event includes five restaurants serving food on the course, a putting contest with a cruise giveaway and a game on every hole.
With its huge success last year, we are bringing back the Friday Night Gala, It’s Five O’Clock Somewhere! This fun event gives the non-golfers an opportunity to participate in a pre-tournament party. The gala will be held on Friday, October 9th, at the Riverside Pavilion. With its banquet room extending out to the large river deck, the pavilion is the perfect venue for a Key West style, laid back, “parrot head” party with beer and margaritas, cheeseburgers, shrimp, key lime pie and live music provided by Category Five. Lavish decorations have been created by the design team at Don Bell signs, a co-sponsor of the event, and guests will have the feeling of entering a South Florida vacation resort. A raffle drawing will be held at the event.

THE PORT ORANGE SOUTH DAYTONA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE
The Port Orange South Daytona Chamber has served the business community since 1977. The Chamber provides opportunities for business to grow, build relationships and enhance the quality of life in our community. We are now 630 members strong.
Approximately half of the Chamber’s income comes through membership dues. Three major fundraisers are held by the Chamber each year to supplement dues income. A Tasteful Affair is a restaurant showcase held in April at the Tavern and Chapel in the Gardens. The Golf Tournament, our largest fundraiser, will be held in October and the Holiday Silent Auction is in November.
